Description
I took these photographs just after dawn. During this time, a building — opposite the one I reside in —was under construction. I remember gazing through the window at the sunrise and envisioning how beautiful elements of the uncompleted building would look. I remember scrambling to grab my camera to take the pictures before the sun went above the horizon. And I remember taking pictures from my window, opening and closing it, adding elements from the window to complement the sunrise and building. I did all this in about 20-30mins. Although they tell a tale of absence (to me), the image of two construction workers observing their morning prayer (Fajr) pleases me the most.
